Life in Motion is a collection of photographs which focus on the little moments that often go unnoticed in the natural world. Rather than focusing on dramatic wildlife encounters, this project highlights the usual everyday behaviours that reveal how animals live their lives. Things like feeding, grooming, preening, swimming or simply just existing in their natural environments are moments that may seem ordinary at first glance, but by slowing down and observing them, we can begin to appreciate the complexity behind even the smallest movements.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learnt while being out in nature is patience. Many of the photographs in this collection were only made possible because I stopped, stayed still and waited. Every encounter reminded me that every behaviour tells a different story and it can really teach you a lot about all of these incredible animals! Through this project, I hope visitors will slow down alongside me and discover that wildlife is most fascinating not only during extraordinary moments, but also in the simple routines that keep animals alive every day.
